Halfway between home and Toronto, I found myself craving lunch. As with any long-distance journey through rural America, I sought out a Subway. I'm not one for drive-thrus, so I go for the healthy sub.

Perrysburg Subway was relatively small, with minimal booths for dining in. Service was slower than what I'm used to back home, as one clerk made all the sandwiches and another rang them up. The family of four ahead of me had a complex order. Instead of getting me out the door, I had to wait in queue behind them although my sandwich was already made and ready to go.

The food ate and kept me full until I reached Canada later that night. An average 3-star experience in Perrysburg.

So I stopped at this particular subway and ordered the chicken teriyaki. The guy which I believe his name is Kevin or Derrick made my sub. As you can see the sub is absolutely sloppy. He didn't put in any effort to take his time but instead rushed through it. As I'm going to pay for it, the manager who I believe his name was Sid, noticed how sloppy my sub was and can tell I was unhappy, he didn't care, I thought that was acceptable.

I get home and I start to unwrap my sub, the wrapping was soaked in sauce and the entire bag was leaking and also leaked into my chocolate chip cookies that I also purchased. I continue to call back and complain about how my sub was inedible because it was way so sloppy. Derrick answered the phone and referred me as, "the black woman in the Cavaliers hat" we exchanged words and he hung up on me while I was explaining to home how inedible the sub was. I call back and he continues to yell at me and say that he wasn't the one that wrapped my sub, now I remind you, I'm standing here watching him make it. I call him out on his lie and he refused to give me the DMs name or my money back. He also tells me, "other people prefer their subs sloppy like that so I just assumed you do too."

I bring the sub back on a paper plate and he again continues to tell me how that sub looks fine and he didn't see what the problem was. A customer was instigating the situation and Derrick continued to make snarky remarks and dirty looks while he was making that customers sub sloppy. Another associate by the name of Billie remade my sub and didn't rush or make it a hot mess! But I don't not recommend going to this subway whatsoever.

I frequent Subway shops at least twice per week as a decent lunch to take to work for my 12 hour shift. This location is closest to my home, on a street that is usually heavy with traffic. This location is very small, but I always get my meal "to go".

Staff, here, usually seem to be a little short, not very friendly, in my experience. They seem to be very bored with their career choice. I have to say that I will usually stop at a different location, if I have the time. There are around 6 locations that I can pass, in the 15 minutes that it takes for me to drive to work.

Consistently, at this location, when having a sub sandwich made... the employees are very skimpy with the ingredients. Ask for lots of green peppers? You will get 3 or 4 strings, laid end to end across your foot-long sub. Ask for plenty of onions? The same thing... maybe 4 strings of onion spaced delicately from one end to the other. Then there is begrudging look on the face of the "sandwich artist", daring you to be so brave as to disagree with their masterpiece.

Bored workers that act as if you are a bother, skimpy on the ingredients for a decent sandwich, heavy traffic trying to get to this location, a small amount of dine-in space (that still manages to have uncleaned tables)... in my opinion it's better to hit another location, bypass this one altogether.

Go to the one on Dixie Highway instead.  This place never seems to have enough turnover and is a smaller establishment - a pain to get to off of Route 20/23.  There is never anybody to greet you, they always come from the back.  This is not the "real" Subway.

Very good service, besides the fact that there was only one person working while it was busy, which seems odd.
